Back Home
A dream has come true for me.
I grew up in the Inwood section of Manhattan and went to High School in the Bronx. New York City is where i was raised. In September of 1995, when i was seventeen i left and joined the Marine Corps. The Summer before i left i was a bike messenger and rode all over Midtown to Battery Park. While riding and delivering packages, i wonder what it would be like to live and work in New York City. I wondered what it would be like to wear a suit and work in the city i loved.
It took me 20 years but i am back in New York City. I wear a suit/business casual and work at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. I can see the New York Stock exchange, and if i walk to Broadway i can see the Freedom Tower. I went to dinner the other night to a great steak house by Grand Central Station and saw where i used to park my bike.
I am not saying the should make a mini-series on me, but the dream is real. Which doesn't always happen
